  • You have a minimum of 3 years of relevant legal experience and knowledge of compliance related laws, regulations and emerging issues in the health care industry.
  • You have a Juris Doctor (JD) and are either currently licensed to practice law in the State of Maine or can obtain admission within 12 months of hire. Note that a strong preference will be given to attorneys licensed to practice law in the State of Maine and in good standing at the time of hire.
  • You have a Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or can obtain certification within 12 months of hire.
  • You can demonstrate a record of success in effectively implementing a corporate compliance program.
  • You believe in “other duties as assigned”.

What you’ll do:

As Associate General Counsel & Compliance Officer , you will report to the Chief Legal Offer and the Board of Directors to deliver a wide range of in-house legal and compliance services for our 17 practice and program service sites in 3 Maine counties. You will serve on PCHC’s Senior Leadership Team and provide oversight, guidance, and support to management, staff, the Board of Directors, and more. You’ll inspire, challenge, guide, mentor, and effectively collaborate at all levels of the organization. The AGCCO is mission-focused and is committed to PCHC values and vision for success. This is a critical role for PCHC.

Schedule: Hybrid work and telework is available with a requirement of in office work in Bangor, Maine at least one day of week and residence located within 2 hours’ driving distance of Bangor, Maine. Must be eligible for the same per PCHC’s Telecommuting policy.
